Layered image fragments overlap with deliberate ambiguity — it is never entirely clear which element belongs to which visual register. Tracey plays with figure and ground, letting shapes emerge and recede within a composition that feels compressed and expansive at once. The palette is restrained, letting the structural tensions carry the work. This is collage as argument: images placed in relation to one another to produce meaning that neither could generate alone.
